Is anyone else feeling burned out?
I am just finding myself starting to log in just to get dailies and challenges or event missions done and just not wanting to touch Ranked or Quick Match anymore. Ranked is just literal brain dead teammates that refuse to flex (I find myself always flexxing and never really getting to play anything else). Quick Match is filled with console players that are just beyond toxic and pretty terrible at the game. I just find myself not enjoying it without a group to queue with, but the group I queue with is okay. They just don't play in my time slot as often.

I love the game in itself, but the people you play with are just making me lose interest in even queuing up. If you are tanking or dpsing and you ask for a heal or ping heal. They scream and yell like you accused them of being bad healers, If you are healing you are being told you aren't healing them enough. If you are dpsing they are telling you that you aren't killing enough, meanwhile you have the only positive KD on the team. Granted I know it is a competitive game and there is always going to be some "toxicity" associated with it, but this community is by far one of the worst competitive scenes I have ever witnessed.

I felt like this last week. The answer is that you need a break. Play or do something else and your interest will spark up again.
Just play something else then. There's no point in wasting your time on a game that makes u feel bad and/or u don't get that much enjoyment out of it.
There's plenty other games worth ur time.

P.S. I did try the Marvels myself and found it hard, as a solo queue for matchmaking part it's unplayable due to EOMM, (you're fighting an algorithm here).
Quick play on the other hand is a Russian roulette for (good/bad) experience.
Had enough of that in OW. Doesn't worth it.

P.S.S. I find it absolutely normal for people to want to get mostly good experience out of the game they decided to give their free time to, and if that one doesn't provide, simply move on.

I hear you, and I think a lot of players can relate to that feeling of burnout. It's tough when the negativity starts outweighing the fun of the game itself. And you've hit on a key point – the lack of self-accountability. It's so much easier to blame others for a loss than to examine your own mistakes.

It's like everyone's stuck in a 'blame game' loop, where any request for support or constructive feedback is seen as a personal attack. Instead of reflecting on their own positioning, cooldown usage, or target prioritization, they lash out and deflect blame onto their teammates.

It's a shame, because at its core, this game is about teamwork and synergy. We all have our strengths and weaknesses, and we should be able to rely on each other to fill those gaps. But when everyone's too busy pointing fingers and hurling insults, that sense of camaraderie and cooperation goes out the window.

Maybe it's time we all took a step back and asked ourselves, 'What can I do differently?' Instead of demanding more heals or more damage, maybe we should focus on improving our own gameplay and supporting our teammates in a more constructive way.

And hey, if you're ever looking for some positive and supportive teammates, feel free to reach out. We could all use a little more positivity in our gaming lives.
Putting real effort into a game as random as this isn't going to fulfill your psyche's need for real gains. Even at an entertainment level you're not wired to tolerate the huge investment of time just to lose because someone's mac 'n cheese was done.

Honestly no. It was a long time I was so obsessed with a video game as this one. Overwatch 1 launch was one of the best video game memories in my whole life and this game just oozes that nostalgia feeling. I am excited asf.

I know how you feel with OW1. I burned out here much faster than OW1 around launch. Like I said before it isn't the game that is making me feel like I don't want to play. It's the community for the most part. OW1 community was really good for a while, then it slid into toxicity and an over estimation on a player's "worth" in a match.

I'm not a blame people for a loss type of guy. I usually focus on myself and what I am doing right and what I am doing wrong ect. I will sometimes call out someone I see constantly making mistakes in a polite way. Asking a tank maybe not push up too far or to the team that we should hold this angle or choke point instead of pushing past it or please don't chase. People don't understand to win a team fight doesn't mean you have to ace the team and kill everyone.

Feel free to add me if you want. Always looking for positive people to play with. My game name is XArchonisX.

I'm sorry that you feel that way. Honestly I don't feel this at all. Yeah players are toxic as always but honestly I love toxicity. I miss the good old days where everyone was allowed to say whatever they wanted. It's not something that ever bothered me. I just enjoy the learning, enjoy the freshness and the high quality that the game provides. Plus the hype is insane.
It is because of the horrible balance and the trash matchmaking. This game as all the problems of Overwatch with none of the polish. People are coping because they want dopamine fixes.
the lack of account progression and level up bare no reward is killing the game
Take a breather, play somethin else for a time.

I don't mind trash talk. It's the toxicity of your teammates when you ping that you need a heal as their tank. They take it as you are saying they aren't healing ect or implying they aren't playing well. When you are just letting them know you are low on health.

I hear you on missing the 'good old days' of online gaming. There was definitely something refreshing about being able to speak your mind without every comment being scrutinized under a microscope. But I think you hit on a key difference – back then, even the trash talk had a certain playful, tongue-in-cheek quality to it. It was more about witty banter and friendly ribbing than genuine malice.

People were less likely to take things personally, and there was a shared understanding that it was all in good fun. We could call each other out on bad plays or questionable strategies without it devolving into a full-blown flame war. It was like a comedy roast, where everyone was in on the joke.

These days, it feels like the line between playful banter and genuine toxicity has become blurred. People are quicker to take offense, and the consequences for a poorly worded comment can be severe. It's a shame, because it takes away from the camaraderie and lightheartedness that used to be such a big part of online gaming.

Maybe it's time we rediscovered the art of good-natured ribbing. Let's bring back the witty comebacks, the playful insults, and the shared laughter. Let's remember that it's just a game, and we're all here to have fun. After all, a little bit of friendly banter never hurt anyone, right?
