We need more shield tanks!
Marvel nerds, I summon you! Give the devs some ideas?!

Edit: I suppose I should suggest my own.

Sandman- Uses sand to create shields, simple.
Juggernaut- He is so big that he acts as a shield.
Colossus- He's just a ton of walking steel, just give him a "harden" ability.
Doctor Octopus- He has tentacles, I'm sure they can do something with that.
Mysterio - His shields could be an illusion.

Black Knight.

There's nothing more boring than shooting endless shields for a few minutes straight.
Late Overwatch 1 was full of shields that they had to remove for the second game

Maybe passive shield, which recharges when you didnt take damage for 3 seconds for example. Ultimate also would give massive shield, and maybe sort of damage reflection while it holds.

There is a reason Overwatch suffered from shield meta. Don't make the same mistake.
shields are dumb. I want Iceman as a tank. Ice Wall, Ice Armor, Ice Surfing or someone like Multiple Man who has a huge health pool but spread out in small denominations from his clones or a super tank like Juggernaut who has a special mechanic that if he takes enough headshot damage his helmet goes on cooldown and then he's dramatically weaker. I also miss those mechanics where it required two players to play one character.

NO
between loki,mr fantastic, strange, venom,i'm getting absolutely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sick of doing no damage to units. STOP
if they add more tanks with shield i will quit playing vanguard and just stick to playing black panther or spider man who is 2-15 in ranked.
Dr strange and Magneto are already two of the most lame characters to play in game and i mean game play wise. Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Venom even Peni Parker are much better.
If anything they should take away their shields and make them more mobile and fun to play.

The thing is coming out at some point so there is that. He'll probably be a high HP, slow moving tank like groot. Instead of shields(walls) he gets mobility and DR.

>shields are dumb
>wants ice wall instead
Sleepwalker - Uses his warp gaze to turn the ground into walls like Groot does. Imagine both teams with a Sleepy and a Groot. No one has LoS, everyone's being separated from their teams, dive characters can't get to the separated characters anyway because of the walls. Clearly this is the best option for the game.

But actually I do want Sleepwalker, I think he's neat.
Juggernaut as a tank..no shields just damage sponge and Reinhardt style charge ability

These are the ones you just end up saving for last though. Juggs would have to be stupidly mobile to do his best at blocking, since best practice here is to shoot around rather than through in most cases.

I like the idea of another wall tank like Ice Man. Or more skank tanks like Mr. Fantastic.

Absolutely disagree with this. Having shield tanks works as an anchor for the team and lets your divers have a safe base to come back to, it also keeps the matches more tight and strategic and less of a chaotic deathmatch. Theres a reason overwatch 2 is failing

Overwatch did not suffer from shield meta. Overwatch suffered from 5v5 chaos dive deathmatch comp and the player count reflects that
