Can't tell if I'm boosted or actually good at the game xd
Hello, just wanted to share some personal thoughts cuz I found it to be a bit funny. I played Overwatch since day 1 and never in my entire Overwatch career have I reached Diamond in competitive and I played Overwatch A LOT back in the day.

Fast forward to Marvel Rivals, and I reached Diamond ranking in just 3 weeks. It's just very bizarre for me and I did not expect myself to reach Diamond so fast that it genuinely felt like I'm cheating. I know, Diamond is not really the highest of the rankings but for me who don't consider myself to be a pro at this game this just feel so surreal to reach that far.

It's either the Overwatch experience actually carries over or as the title implies, I'm just boosted lol.

Anyways, just wanted to share my experience in this game.

Overwatch experience surely counts. You recognise everything faster and got used to a lot of stuff. I feel this myself as an old Paladins player.
But we should also consider that now it's easy to be good at the game, because the game right now has a lot players who are new to hero shooters in general. And even experienced players from other hero shooters are still learning the game. Skill cap of future seasons will be much higher.

Is someone testing ChatGPT on discussions? Or is it just copypasted twitter post?
Ouch. No it's not a copy twitter post, was genuinely shocked to be in diamonds and wanted to share it online. Also I don't use twitter because of how genuinely toxic that place can be xd

Cause Overwatch has what's basically a permanence to your ELO that's part of their SBMM. Once you get into a range you're pretty much stuck there. One of the reasons I think it's garbage.

It makes it difficult to learn the game then rank up cause you're basically assigned a rank after X amount of time.

It's a bad system.

Huh, never knew about that system and now that you mention it, I'm so glad I moved on from Overwatch a long time ago haha.

True i could play my ass off as support and get diamond in ow than you would get piddly gains there after. Season would tick over and it would derank you back to gold on placements just to repeat it all over again. Also people in ow where trash as well. Same with this game.

Only ow would ban me for my vc and this game hasnt
