Use voice chat and communicate well and politely.

"Psilock right up above about to gank and ult"

"Stranges ult is charged, form up near me so I can shield us when he comes in for it"

"Storms about to ult, group up so I can counter ult to heal us"

This kind of stuff saves/makes games win more than you'll ever realize.

I've noticed as i have asked lower ranks if they want help, when they show me their gameplay live, they never communicate, not even plats do, Diamond/Gm players keep good nice communications, there is a good reason why.

So start communicating more and making your team aware and be polite to keep moral up.

I like to ask where my heals are, knowing damn well the healers are getting jumped in the backline while I'm solo tanking in the enemies backline for some reason

jk, I dont have a mic but it is annoying when ppl dont at least ping when an enemy is flanking

As long as you ping that also works, people will notice at higher elo pings, at lower elo they do tend to ignore them tho.

if only ping were reliable. half the time it makes you ask for healing or whatever else instead of pinging. it's the worst pinging system I've ever seen

Sounds like good advice but more often than not I suggest anything strategic based on whatever heroes we got and even a little suggestion gets flamed, I don't understand why either I don't even demand things or make someone go a role, I just notice something simple and point it out then 1 or more players are at my throat, it's almost easier to win with everything muted than actually trying to win with voice chat.

It's a cultural thing. Don't know what caused it but i swear people didn't use to act like that. Now everybody get defensive or offensive about practically everything because they perceive suggestions / advice / etc as criticism or being told what to do. At least that is what I think is going on.

I think the internet is historically so antagonistic that people expect it now and are just hostile automatically because they think youre more likely going to be an ahole to them than be reasonable and kind- theres so many times where I have said smth in a comment section that maybe someone didnt understand what I was saying so they just assumed i was attacking them and got defensive- like this stuff does not happen irl ppl dont assume automatically that ur crapping on them

not gonna lie, I dont activate voice chat because of this, since overwatch people keep trash talking and here i am just want to play casually and be polite to everyone but noooo...the other party keep telling me; my Punisher is bad, you cant play Mantis, your venom sucks...

in my heart I just wanna tell them, dude....relax, I got a Lord Punisher, I learned a lot how to play it, but ♥♥♥♥♥ just happened, ok? And no, Mantis is just good, you charging solo at enemies is the problem...

Communication is a crutch in this community, yeah it gives an extra edge but before they get their they need the common sense to not be told what to do, how to do it. and when to do it.

TBH Pro tip: Turn off voice chat and text chat. once you get to plat find a team and talk in discord. 100% people dont use comms but only to blame other players that they are not getting carried. Once I turned off chat and text I got to plat easy.

Just be competent in each of the three roles and fill whatever your team doesn't pick. Never used a mic and got gold being a solo queue player.

I have noticed that most players think the best way to rank up is scream that their healers suck when they go 4-15, then at the end of the match their team had a combined 60000 healing

You can customize the ping system so it ignores team-mates/objective and only pings enemies!

You should also change it to team-mates health bars always being visible.

Yeah it happens but honestly if you are polite and genuinely trying to create a good win, 8/10 games people reciprocate, 2/10 games yeah, you get the ego people who just yell at anyone for trying to be polite.
