What is the 2 statues for?

On the Wakanda Domination map, Warrior Falls, what is the point of both teams having that little area near spawn where they can attack a statue?

I cannot figure out why they are there and their purpose so I am asking here.

Weird then. Thought they'd have some purpose since the main area for capture also has 2 statues.
