Venom Primary fire should lock on to nearby enemies
I think venoms primary fire should lock on to nearby enemies in a frontal cone of where hes aiming, like winston's lightning gun in overwatch, like scarlet witch but it can hit multiple people but with a much shorter range. The damage could be reduced to compensate. Maybe his primary could still headshot if he actually aims at the head of the enemy (the auto-lock wont do it, the player still has to headshot like normal) so that players that can aim well with venom, can still get more out of it. With auto-lock, you can focus more on his abilities, movement and positioning (which should be most of venoms skill input) rather than trying to chase a tiny raccoon or a bouncing squirrel with your crosshairs. He is said to be a "low-difficulty" hero but a lot of players end up taking way more damage then they are dealing and never getting out in time because they are just trying to hit one difficult target and have a hard time paying close attention to both their HP and ability cooldowns at the same time.

NO.
He is perfectly fine without lock on to target.
If you really want to focus on certain skills, then simply make a separate control scheme just for Venom and distribute his abilities between the keyboard and mouse, or configure the controller as you prefer.
(You can create a separate control scheme for each hero.)
That's exactly what I did and now playing Venom is much easier.

venom is already super strong, i main venom and i tend to get over 20k dps and having less than 10 deaths a game, you just have to learn how to play him properly :D, his survivability is insane

Oh dear lord no, he'd be unstoppable unless you massively nerfed the attack. And I'd rather have a strong attack that depends on skill and aim than a crap one that doesn't.

Also Venom can headshot now and wouldn't be able to with an auto lock.
I don't even like the fact that Scarlet Witches attack just locks in on targets in range. I'd rather it act more like the lightning gun from Quake instead...
dang, i thought it would be a good idea since he is a low difficulty hero but i have a much better time with peni parker even though she is a higher difficulty hero, i just feel like im feeding enemy ult charge as venom because ill try to focus on killing a healer or something but i cant look at my HP and kill at the same time since i have to be super accurate with his primary fire. I wish i could just dive enemies and do at least some damage without needing to worry about aiming so much and then keep track of when i need to shield or get out. It works great for playing winston on overwatch i thought it would work for venom, too.

I specifically said if you aim at the head it will headshot
Then just play as Penny Parker. A 1 star difficulty rating doesn't mean that this hero is actually easy to play. It just means that this difficulty rating was set simply by randomization.

Venom is more than fine. Penny is probably the worst hero overall in the game, at least the worst tank by far.

I think Hela would need an auto-aim as well, especially on heads.
It is very frustrating when you try to hit enemies and you miss.
Why is it a thing in the game at all!

They nailed scarlet and cloak&dagger so well, why did they ruin others with.. how those are called.. skillshots or smth. Such a crappy game design!

you must think winston in overwatch is overpowered as all hell then

really? shes bad? but i get the top kills and damage so often with her, she has a stun/trap projectile with a large hitbox and only a cooldown of 3 seconds, and enemies just walk into her webs and mines for big damage.

Auto-Aim Heroes rely heavily on Positioning and Timing since they have low damage. Giving Venom auto aim would vastly lower his damage output to compensate.

Though I do wish Venom is a melee unit instead of tickling the target with your tendrils

yeah they could make his melee his single target damage component intertwined with his primary cone attack like i proposed, thats how winston does single target damage, zapping, and punching.
