Trying to play on an Xbox Controller...

Okay, after watching YouTube tutorials on how to tweak my controller settings, which I did, I'm still trying to figure out how to do "Fate of Both Worlds" using an Xbox controller. I'm able to do it on a keyboard, but how do you do it using a controller? It shows that you have to hold down the left and right buttons. What am I doing wrong? I also have issues with melee attacks using an Xbox controller, but I can do it on the keyboard.

Mapping is critical for playing on an XB controller. I use a XB controller on my PC and it works great! Just have to map those buttons correctly.
