Why Tobey Maguire NEEDS to be added to Marvel Rivals

Hey fellow Marvel Rivals fans,

I’ve been thinking about this a lot, and I gotta say it: Marvel Rivals is an amazing game, but there's one glaring problem… we need Tobey Maguire in this game!

I mean, think about it. Tobey is the OG Spider-Man, the one who started it all for the modern generation of fans. His version of Peter Parker is a cultural icon, and to not have him in Marvel Rivals feels like a huge missed opportunity.

His movements, his quips, his sense of responsibility—Tobey's Spider-Man defined the early 2000s superhero movie era. We all know the scene where he struggles with his powers, the iconic web-swinging, and the classic “with great power comes great responsibility” line. These moments are etched into pop culture. So, what are we waiting for? The game already has a rich roster of Marvel characters, but without Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man, it feels incomplete.

Imagine playing as Tobey, launching webs, slinging around the map, and pulling off all those iconic moves from the Spider-Man trilogy (we all know the best one was the first movie, no debate). Plus, we could get some nostalgic voice lines like “I’m your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man” or “This is my gift, my curse”—it would be chef's kiss.

Let’s also talk about the aesthetics. His Spider-Man suit in the movies is still one of the best! The vibrant red and blue, the classic webbing design, and the subtle upgrades in the sequels? Perfection. If they just bring that to life in the game, it would instantly become a fan favorite.

Not to mention, Tobey’s Peter has one of the most relatable and human story arcs in the entire Marvel universe. His struggles with balancing his life as Peter Parker and Spider-Man would add depth to his character in Marvel Rivals.

To the devs: Please, we NEED this character. Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man deserves to swing his way into Marvel Rivals. If we get enough people backing this up, maybe they’ll listen! Let’s get this iconic version of Spider-Man in the game so we can all relive our childhood memories while wrecking noobs.

616 Spidey is the og Spider-Man and Marvel is not paying Tobey just for a game skin. Just like when they add Deadpool it won't be the Ryan Reynolds version. They'll just ship two skins as the default and make Nolan voice him.
