Yeah, this, there are more viable melee or non-aiming characters in this game than Overwatch. Aim is still useful, but it more opens up the number of characters you can play than anything.
Who's got a turret other than Namor? (not counting Punisher since he needs to aim his)
Loki and Groot are the most obvious. They don't auto attack but they multiply your damage. There's also Moonknight that puts down an ankh that auto targets if you have trouble with fine aiming.
I'd argue you need more. Enemies take so long to kill you have to keep your gun on them far longer. Keeping your crosshair on target for the entire magazine is harder than burst fire.
Zarya is the hardest for me to use, but compared to other FPSes i've played, most overwatch heroes are basically Zaryas.

I've played quite a few more online FPS games and Overwatch is the hardest. The TTK is just too long.
