I can see that to an extent, but I mean the same could be said for OW and LOL. Hardly say blaming it all on the matchmaker as being the real issue.
And then it got competitive game mode, which attracted more and more sweatlords and the devs also didn't know what they want from the game and it became a toxic wasteland.
But this is generally why i avoid ranged modes in such games. Better to have a chaotic game but chill and friendly than have a well structured strategic but toxic as hell experience.

I don't know why, but it always makes me laugh listening to these people. Just imagining what their lives must be like to get so upset over cartoon characters on a screen with absolutely zero dollars at stake.
The sheer level of investment in something so trivial fascinates me... lol
Sad thing is ive seen the toxicity in Quickplay at about 50% of the rate that I see it in Ranked, so it does trickle over.
I have noticed some of the most toxic players seem to be the ones who have actually spent money on Marvel Rivals lol So I guess you could say they pre-invested money into their rage.
people are toxic everywhere, it's the internet. interacting with them is a choice.
at low ranks this game isn't a team game, you can solo carry nearly every game.
