Master Account ..?

With the game being Cross Platform is there a "Master Account" of some type that we need to create ..? You know like a BattleNet, EA or Activision Account ... Because if i switch between PC (Steam or EPIC) and PS5 how else would the accounts sync .. ??

While there is cross-play, there is currently no cross-progression. They're working on it, but it won't be in at release.
