Rivals will STUTTER, just like other UE5 games on PC!
Reading through the patch notes for the latest AMD GPU drivers 24.12.1 and I find this in the known issues section:
Intermittent stutter may be observed while playing Marvel Rivals when AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution 3 frame generation is enabled. Users experiencing this issue are recommended to disable AMD FidelityFX™ Super Resolution 3 frame generation in the per-game settings as a temporary workaround.
Epic Games just being unbelievably lazy at this point instead of actually fixing their own engine issue! The same kind of stuttering plagues other UE5 games like Silent Hill 2 Remake and especially The First Descendant, since it's a more action-packed online title.
I highly doubt "disabling frame generation" will fix the stuttering, as it surely didn't fix it in TFD either.
I also wonder what version of FSR 3 did the devs implement in Rivals? For their own sake, I hope it's not 3.0-- but 3.1 at the very least!

3060ti 11th gen i7, beta ran perfect. They changed or added something from time of beta till now and now the game consistently stutters and drops to 1 fps randomly on the lowest possible graphic settings across the board. Resolution is literally all the way down and its still ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stuttering.
Nah I'd win. Dec 6, 2024 @ 6:35am

You are stupid as hell lol you can have the best setup in the world and still have Performance Issues due to poor optimization

Silky smooth here.

I said it was also assets loading. I played plenty of games that do shader compilation but still have tiny stutters when observed through frame time graphs. Even people with the newest hardware are complaining. But then again I don't expect anything intelligent from a person who likes Overwatch but with Marvel characters. The only thing subpar is this game and it's engine. It will be dead within 3-6 months.
Post your specs, ♥♥♥♥♥.
Fk the specs . post me a video of you playing with a framtime graph for 60 seconds with 0 stutter.

Prove this so then we all know. atm ue5 stutter is just common especially at 4k.

UE5 games are absolute rotten garbage. This and The Finals are the only 2 games that crash for me. I have to remove any undervolt and just let my pc run wild and even then it occasionally crashes or stutters. It’s the engine. Even the devs have said they are aware of issues. Not to mention all ue5 games look and feel the same and it’s so generic AI feeling ♥♥♥♥. Plus forced upscaling to deal with the pathetic performance which adds a layer of mud over the game. UE4 was cool. But UE5 is lazy mode for devs and is shafting us consumers. Every game looks like this blend of cartoon ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with a hint of ‘realism’ better graphics. I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hate UE5 games

Bro, it is not a matter of having a potato PC, I've literally seen top tier PC having issues with the game, I, myself run this game with at least 180fps stable, but the game stutters every few seconds, you just need to check this thread, as someone mentioned, all the proofs you need are here, people with different confings having similar issues.

Nothing but stutter on every group fight

Game stutters horribly on an intel CPU and RTX 4090. Op is correct the game is not optimized well and is unstable.

people who say the game is smooth just have poor judgement and probably use to console performance

60 fps lock most likely my bro plays on 60 and its like butter compared to my 90-144 on ultra 4k
Mister Father Dec 6, 2024 @ 3:39pm
I don't remember it stuttering like this in the 2 betas. But it's doing it now..

But yeah like the guy before me said locking it to 60fps make it a lot better. I got mine on 80.
