A basic human interaction skill is "treat others how you want to be treated" yet they somehow fail at that miserably even as adults.
But Venom though...
Venom is the alien sentient lifeform that's attached to Eddie Brock. They've both had romantic feelings for each other while describing their bond as a marriage. They've genuinely loved each other before, and that's significant since the Venom symbiote learned of & understood tons of complex emotions that include love -- not just being some meandering thoughtless/basic parasite. The symbiote basically became Spider-Man's crazy ex after he shed himself of the living alien, while wounding up with Eddie.
For the most part, Venom's appearance is a reflection of not just his time with Spider-Man, but it moreso reflects how Eddie Brock would look like while bonded. That's a part of the symbiote's self-expression and its history/feelings (partly for Peter for) mainly Brock. Yeah sure Venom can look different on other hosts - even adapting female physiques for women like Anne Weying, but he still looks like "Venom" which is also the name of the bond between Brock and the other. The symbiote's species lacks gendered dichotomies like male/female and can reproduce asexually. Usually for their identity they would reflect their current host... or their favorite hosts.
Oh and Venom's hosts are usually men while appearing as a muscled-out monster. Oh well.
Anyway, god help you if you can't handle having LGBT characters, if Deadpool is in...
In other words
Venom sees Peter Parker as a Twink and sees Eddie Brock as a Big Hulking Himbo
I sure hope not.
