Is the Anti-Cheat invasive?

Whenever people talk about Anit-cheat, I just think Microsoft gotta do something at an OS level. That's it. Just like how Android/iOS requires permissions to access every part of your phone.
It's still crazy how powerful and how much access an .exe files has these days. Permissions need to be broken down, and that could allow for some very deep level anti-cheat that is never invasive.

Cloudstrike is exactly what you are asking for. The ability for a game or 'anti-virus' to shutdown your computer without your input.

I agree that Linux is the best operating system because it provides FREEDOM to its users. Microsoft provides slavery. U wanna be a slave, go for it.

I don't particularly like PLATFORMS which we don't need and never needed. I buy games OUTSIDE platforms whenever possible. WE DON'T NEED STEAM.

Also...I don't game on Linux. I simply acknowledge it as a superior OS in every way. Instead of poking fun at me (all falsely) perhaps you wouldn't mid attacking the argument with a counterpoint about WHY your OS is better., or why Linus isn't good (good luck with that)?

Looking it up and it apparently uses Neac anticheat which doesn't actually do anything because people were already ragehacking on day 2 in the alpha back in May.

Settle down there mate. If you read my comments and my profile you would learn that I am a Linux Gamer. I am not arguing against your position but instead your rival.

To be clear, I agree that Linux is a superior OS (hence why even VR headsets run on Linux including the lame Meta Quest (Yes Android uses the Linux Kernel).

On PC, I only game on Linux. However, VR sucks on Linux and in general sucks on Windows too. I recently bought a PSVR2 + PS5 and VR gaming on that is really awesome. It is how VR gaming should be. Granted PS5 OS is based on BSD so its a unix OS - still better than Windows crap. I know, PS5 is locked down ... but I only do VR gaming there and I am hopeful that Monado or some other smart linux people can make the PSVR2 work on linux via the adapter --- although I am not holding my breath.

just look at CS2, you find a cheater in every match, its amazing indeed...... if you are a scum cheater

also people talking about linux here are a bunch of clown. I tested Xubuntu on dualboot days ago and that thing was the trashiest experience i have ever had, its somehow slower than windows 10 and you have even less FPS on games.
