Suggestions and pains
Kinda steal some interactions from Factorio, my biggest pains are:
  • Make conveyors and filters non obstacles for the player
  • Change current copy-paste mechanics to C - copy rectangle, V - paste rectangle from this buffer, instead of shift - mark things, c - move it as a copy
  • Option to build on top of other blocks to replace them
  • Option to click on filter to change it instead of delete old - build new
  • Option to move things from conveyors through lifts without them interacting
  • Keybind to get something your cursor is on as current build
  • Make water behave more like a fluid, currently resources are more fluid than water is
  • Make filters spit a blocked element on top of them if it is inside a filter
  • In-game chart of density

Hey! Thank you for the feedback.

I think all of the suggestions are great and make sense.

Option to move things from conveyors through lifts without them interacting
Can you elaborate on this?

Make filters spit a blocked element on top of them if it is inside a filter
... and this. :) When do blocked elements end up inside?

Thanks again!
I definitely agree with no collision on conveyors and the baseline movement speed should be closer to the upgraded one to feel better. Since the game currently has no threat like in Factorio I don't see a real need to be hampered down with movement or collision - those are better suited as obstacles that can cause a further problem as a result.

The game mechanic I found the most wonky was harvesting the plants. I possibly just didn't get how they worked but when you built up before destroying them they got unruly and tried to expand all the way to the top of the map. I had to roof them all off after chasing the first one for several minutes.
Factorio has ruined me. In every game I instinctively press Q when I finish doing anything to empty my cursor.

It's hilarious in Minecraft: Dig hole. Throw shovel in hole. Pause in confusion.

A couple scenarios I've noticed:

When building a filter over existing pixels.
When pixels are inside a filter as they transform
- sand to wet sand
- spores to wet spores
- slag to burnt slag
issue: game is zoomed in for ultrawide displays and I cant see the top or bottom of most menus to adjust the resolution.

In the scenario like this https://i.imgur.com/2CCenM8.png I'd like to move things through and in the demo if you want to do this you would need to do something like this https://i.imgur.com/K9zxECG.png

How people already have said: when you have a filter set as "Allow only slag" and you burn, it burnt slag just sits inside a filter instead of moving.

Also, new pretty annoying thing I've noticed: keybinds are letter bound instead of key bound, so if you have different language selected as current language you can't interact with the game.

I'm noticing that if a conveyor belt below a filter has a stacked line, some materials can "float" to the top of the stack through the bottom of a filter, eventually clogging the filter.

Example: Conveyor belt is moving a stack of gold (which sinks to the bottom) and sand (which would float to the top in this case). This stack moves past a filter block above the conveyor, which is also dropping gold, and the sand replaces the gold in the filter and "floats" through, clogging the filter block.
sounds like you noobs need to do a little research! tsk tsk
