URGENT HELP NEEDED: Statistics for Revolution Idle Calculations
Heya there guys! As you can maybe tell from the title of this discussion, I'm trying to do some calculations on how to most effectively automate infinities, and to better understand the mechanics of the game, with an Excel Spreadsheet. The basic idea? Find all the calculations that effect multipliers. An example of this is the upgrade 1;1, which multiplies the Generator 1 multiplier by infinities. That's a flat ratio with an equation of (g1mult = infinities). Simple, right?

Well, it's super complicated for some of the other upgrades, like 6;2. "Ascensions are better based on infinities. Now, I'm not very far in the game, with only 8926 infinities. 6;2 multiplies my ascensions by 1.6. Now, I could assume that the equation is something like:
ascensions * (1+(infinities / 50,000))

If I substitute my numbers in, it should work exactly the same, right? Welp, let's try
ascensions * (1+(8926/50,000)
= ascensions * (1+0.17852)
= ascensions * 1.17852
= ascensions * 1.18

But, that number is way, *way* lower than mine? Not really, actually. My multiplier for 6;2 is 1.16, but my numbers are flawless. Mind you, I got the number 50,000 off of an estimation. So, how can I test that? My brother is way further than I am in the game. So, I grabbed his numbers, put them in, and here we are.
ascensions * (1+(infinities / 50,000))
= ascensions * (1+(9,1890000 / 50,000))
= ascensions * (1+183.78)
= ascensions * 184.78

Now, if you're further in the game than I am, or you have some common sense amidst the chaos of this game, you might realise that the number I gave seems a bit ridiculous. That's because? It is. In reality, the multiplier he was given was
ascensions * 1.29

So, alright bud. To get the number he got, you find the number that it's divided by, which clearly isn't 50,000. I'll save the semantics, to get that number, his number of infinities must have been divided by 31,686,206.9655. Uhm... 31 million?

To make clarity of all that maths "nonsense", there's an exponential increase in the amount that you number of infinities is divided by. Alright, fine? This is one small upgrade. But that's exactly it. This is a single damn upgrade, and yet it's giving me so much trouble, because the only way for me to calculate that is to get a ***lot*** of points to construct an exponential relationship. Now, there are a list of upgrades so far that have any sort of effect here, and I'll list them below. If you could be genuinely *fantastic* and respond to this discussion with any statistics that you have, and the challenge they’re for. Literally everything is greatly appreciated. Thank you all, for your kindness.

For 18;2 (Fourth from Third) and 18;3 (Third from Second), the calculation is the amount of generators for that upgrade + 1. That’s as far in the upgrade tree as I am. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Truly, please, record as many statistics here as you can. As a statistics nerd, every point that you give me counts. Thank you all.

I haven't really taken a close look at any of this myself before. And I am in the dilation tree stage of the game (beyond infinity, and beyond eternity as well) so the entire infinity part of the game is background noise that just does what it does passively in the background. But I suspect that there's a ton of softcaps (generous formula A up to a certain point and then stingy formula B after that) and diminishing returns (something like a sqrt or a log or whatever else in the calculations) involved in all of these bonuses.

I started something 40+ minutes ago so that's about how much time has passed for anything time based.

Infinities = something in e24 range and rising about 0.1e24 once every few seconds (I don't even know why this isn't zero, auto-infinity is off because infinity actually slows things down after a certain point in the game.)

Value of an infinity is somewhere around e105000 or so.

I don't understand a lot of the multipliers either, but in regards to automating infinities, there's a simple answer: Don't.

There are several upgrades that scale off time spent in the current infinity, causing your IP per second to increase the longer you spend without infinitying. Therefore you should only infinity when it gives you enough IP for another upgrade or an important generator level.
Figuring out the math in this game is a lost cause (and I say this as someone with a PhD in math). There are a LOT of upgrades, many of which affect something "based on" something else without telling you how. Some of them involve completely made-up operations (tetration to a non-integer, anyone?) Almost everything has a softcap, sometimes two.

The best you can do when automating infinities is to adjust the time and check the "Statistics" tab to see your IP per second. By the time you figure out what the optimal time is, you'll be at a point where automating infinities is no longer viable anyway.
