Is it worth it to max out TF gain?
According to the game, if you gain excess time flux per hour, you can even gain time flux while the game is online and running.

The thing is, to max out the TF gain requires spending a lot of TF that requires not having the game online. I can somewhat mitigate it by investing souls into TF gain and buying a bit of TF as well with those souls, but the TF gain only seems to really go up by like 4-5 minutes per upgrade, while the actual cost (in gained TF) is doubling.

Is it worth it to invest in maxing TF gain, or just playing the game more efficiently?

No, because TF doesn't even work as intended. Impossible to gain IP unless you use 1 minute of TF at a time. Hope this gets fixed soon.

I use TF for the game speed options (2x speed in particular), not the time warps. I know the time warps suck. So TF basically just buys me more play time for free of the play time I actually put into it.

It makes the last half of an eternity much smoother where you're kind of just waiting for 10-20 minutes at a time, and TF cuts that in half by just having it passively boost the game speed.

What I'm trying to suggest, is that if it's worth it to max out TF gain so I can basically get 2x game speed permanently/very close to that.

Somewhat agree, but even at 3x, do you really keep your game open for that long? I kind of find that ridiculous for an "idle" game tbh...

My run for the second eternity is currently sitting at 12 hours. I'm like 20 minutes away from 1 million infinities, while knowing the (mostly) optimal way to get past these hurtles. I would use TF for this, but it actually makes the shorter runs (<1s) *longer* according to the statistics page...so, it's highly inefficient.

It's definitely more Cookie Clicker style of idle instead of "Come back to magic goodies" idle, where your choices and strategies are more important than just merely waiting a bit.

At least, for now.

I'm kind of not even trying anymore to reach even my first eternity. I'm stuck on needing the upgrades with 1m and 2m IP, and the TF is just so broken that I really lost the will to grind. For now at least.

how long are your runs? the longer runs should net you enough to complete the upgrades.

I am at ~1 minute = 1400 IP :D

tbf it's an "idle" game without offline progression. the best way to use TF is probably leave the game on for hours at a time unattended with automations unlocked.

try longer runs and look at your IP/s on statistics screen. i think you'll find that the longer you go, the better your IP/s will be.

Why are people saying time warps suck? They help me a ton.

Besides all this talk, the most important is that maxing TF gain would take you months, unless you put money in it. So don't do it at the start of the game to save time, you won't :)

It’s because once your runs get down to around 30 seconds per infinity the Time flux and Time Warps completely brick your autobuyers and actually makes it take longer per IP instead of speeding things up as they should. So at this point you actually farm quicker at base speed than using 2x or 3x or Time warps which is disappointing. Same goes for offline flux, you can’t actually farm infinities with it :/

the data i've collected coincides with yours.

I'm wondering how many Time Flux upgrades it even takes to reach 60:02 Time Flux per hour. I'm up to 28:14 (6/7/0) and every upgrade increases it by less and less while costing twice as much to unlock.
