The gap between 5 000 and 1 000 000 IP costs
Am I missing something? I did all the challenges, got all the upgrades up to row 16, got the generators... and now everything costs at least 1 000 000 IP while I'm getting perhaps 15/second. This seems like a massive jump in cost - row 16 of upgrades costs 5000, row 17 1 000 000 or 2 000 000.

Am I missing a mechanic here that would speed the growth up? Or do I just deal with row 17 taking days to buy?

Look at upgrade 16:1 and 16:2 - you'll need to accumulate infinites to get stronger, not just IPs. Do many runs with fixed infinity so it resets as soon as possible, and it could happen that disabling ascension and/or promotion automation gets you to infinity even faster.

Eventually getting a million IPs will be something that you don't need to grind for hours for, but minutes. And "eventually" in this game is a lot less time than expected, since it took me only a month to beat the game while not bothering optimizing things often.

Ah, I misunderstood how those work. Thanks.

There's a similar thing happening later on with the "Eternity" part of progression. One upgrade boosts things depending on how many Eternities you have, and I at first confused that with Eternity Points (the next layer of "big numbers") but once I set the game to farm Eternities for a while, the increase in speed was very noticeable.

It turns out I literally get more IP without a broken infinity, too.

This is also when you're going to want to run more 20-30 minute infinities. Try to expand the time you take on each infinity up to 30ish minutes, then once you hit the final upgrades, ou should hopefully be hitting 45-1hr runs.

Break Infinity and watch the reset number and see how long it takes for you to hit your IP soft cap for your run. It'll shoot up quick and then stall at a certain point. If you set your Infinity automation to reset at slightly less IP then that's usually where you'll get your ideal IP/s. Use some tinkering to adjust the value upwards periodically to see if you have greater gains.

But later there will come a point where letting it sit a while will provide increasingly greater IP/s than faster infinities, where a reset after an hour will be more than a half hour, and so on.

yeah ther'es three types of runs, immediate, short, and long. Immediate focuses on infinities, short goes a liiitle past when you can infinite and to where the IP first slows down a bit. You won't use short runs for very long, but they do have their place.

Long runs are where you let the generator multipliers REALLY build up for massive IP gains.

im in the same gap, my runs are now like 3 seconds and reset .

I reached this point recently. There was a bit of a grind getting the 5k and then 10k IP for the unlocks and generators... then I focused on getting my challenge times down to increase the number of infinities per infinity. II got the IP/s up to around 300, which was plenty to grind out 1M or 2M IP in a couple of hours.

When I came back to the game later, I raised inifity count with short 1.5s infinities and then tested a deep run into infinity and it pushed so high I scored over 200M IP in a single run. I was just hoping for 1M achievemtn. The IP scales up very quickly once you hit 10x, 100x, etc on infinity.

edit: Went back to grinding infinity count rather then IP for a bit and scored teh 32k infinities achievement while I was writing this.

IP/s is definitely better when fixing the infinity and disabling all automation except for the first 3....

EDIT: after tentions checks - found sweetspot for me.
No:Promo, 4s Prestige + 6s infinity.. Seems for me that it's my sweetspot... Anything longer is not usefull for me yet... But when you can get to 10x IP treshold - then holding for long is the way

try turning off your auto infinity and then let the game run for some amount of time
(20 - 60mins) thats what i did to get past the 5K to 1M-2M IP cost gap and the 1M-2M to 100B gap
