Sitting in front of a screen and holding the B key down isn't really engaging.
I usually play idle games so that I can leave them running and come back every now and then to cash in some progress.
I can't really do that here.
The general idea of that is that you only really value the automation features if you actually had to spend quite a while without them. If you get them way earlier you don't really appreciate their value. And the time you spend without them also gives you more time to properly understand the basic game mechanics, which often are quite important to know for later challenges.
I think timing wise the unlocks are fine, since you can unlock the first 2 autobuyers within a day. And the prestige autobuyer probably within another 1-2 days.
Maybe have it under the box where you can select buy quantities.
Keeping the game running (because of no offline progress) and pressing B+A for hours like a monkey in an experiment (because of no automation) do not qualify as "automated". The game is kinda crippled for the reason we all know and understand.
So, my suggestion stands.
The dev would decide if they finally bring automation earlier or risk losing players who died of boredom and broken fingers.
