How does Promote work?

I've clicked the promote several times and prestiged a few times now.

At this point Promote pops up but I can't pick any of the 4 options?
What makes me able to pick an option?

You need to get higher multipliers to earn enough of the promote XP, it's not clear but watch the xp on the promote screen. It will go up after 2000 and so on.

Aah ok so there is no visible milestone to see when the next one is available?

Each promotion gives you EXP based on your P Multi. When you can hit the promote button, each of the 4 options should show you how much EXP you woudl get when you promote right now as well as your current levels and the level you woudl have after the promotion.

Also, each level requires double the EXP compared to the previous level. You should always wait until you get enough EXP to get severla levels at once. If you have the problem of not being able to click any of the 4 it simply means that doign a promotion right now would be entirely useless as you would gain no benefits from it, as you couldn't even get a single level.

I think the usual suggestion for the first promotion woudl be promoting with a P multi of at least x13390 which would give 7 EXP and is enough to level multi gain all the way up to lvl 3 for a x6 multi gain bonus. It even shows that suggestion in the help menu where promotion is explained, even though it somewhy doesn't mention EXP there.

yeah the exp part is kind of confusing. if there was an drop down "help UI" for some of the systems. or an "visual overlay" showing how things interact with each other.

dont hit promote right away. the higher your numbers get, the more XP you got for promoting. in the part where it says "Exp. "value/value" (+value)" the "+value" is how much XP youll gain for promoting. first time, go for like 64xp at least.
