Just google it, several posts about it but most are mostly the same tho.
If that doesnt help, buy a new monitor..
Heck, last time i heard about burn in images on a screen was on crt and plasma tv's which is decades old..
my question is more what can be done in the game to prevent it from happening
Its not a game's fault, or kind off, the dev could have used different other colour combos and maybe more movements so to speak..
Its when colours are static without any changes for several hours/days a burn in will happen.
Otherwise Its a user/monitor problem
The only way is to get a better monitor.
Play less of the same game per hours/days,
Let the game run in the background without the game window actually showing up on the monitor and only check in from time to time.
Like me, i have the game running but watching a movie, or even playing other games in the meantime.
Maybe a different skin might help but i wouldnt bet on that.
So do you have OLED screen?
made my computer 3 years ago and dont really remember what parts i have
ill just remember that anytime i leave it going i should tab out and try not to let the main page be on too much
i believe the issue was from it shifting the text during the later part of my first eternity, since the prestiges and promotes made the text formatting jump so quickly
Its problem with first and 2nd gen of LED displays they tend to burn in very fast with static image check if your TV/Monitor have game or anti burn mode and enable it it maxes shift image very slightly on screen to avoid burn in you will not even notice it and it helps immensely (If it do not have that function than you will get burn in eventually from anything with high contrast hud if playing long enough and can either use anti burn function or just find whole screen static noise video on youtube to aleviate it)
I've heard plasma is bad, but LCDs should last for forever and most decent OLED monitors should last perfectly fine. And if this game got burn in over just a couple hours then I don't see what would be saving your monitor from every other static image left by a UI element from taskbars to browser titlebars to healthbars and other UI elements in games.
Beyond having a dark background with light color highlights, which may try and push HDR on an OLED, I'm rather confused how this even could have happened.
Though if you ARE using an OLED monitor I would suggest switching to HDR 400 / true black rather than any other setting like HDR 1000.
