I figured lionking account where so i could play the same save file both on my android phone and my computer.

Whats linking for if not this?

It very well does matter in the context of any form of functionality and desgin.

Close game -> Game saves
Save & Exit Button -> Game saves

Both functions perform the same action. That's fine, however that completely ignores the actual issue they're talking about, which is MOVING the save from one location to another, which is not working properly.

Save & Exit is having the same issue, which is allowing the LINK to perform properly, The LINKING itself is having issues regardless of which method is performed for "saving".

.....Yes, but the LINKING portion of it relies on the Save & Exit. Currently people are having issues with the game itself LINKING, and right now closing the game either through the X button, or using the Save & Exit button won't matter......

Where is the "log in"(or whatever it is) button on the phone? I can't find it

I also feel syncing is broken.
Steam is primary account > link account > save & exit. Log in on android > game data loads.
Make progress on android > save and exit > open via steam > progress is not present.

Confirmed both are on the same account, confirmed player id matches on both.
Also tried Unlink account on Steam > close game > Open on Android > Save & Exit on Android > Open via Steam > Link Account > game says "loading" > no change in progress on Steam > Android is still much further ahead of steam version.

Essentially, since I made so much progress on my phone. The Steam version is no longer of any value to me even though I started the game there first.

having this same issue except in reverse, started on mobile, then jumped to the steam version shortly after and was able to switch back and forth freely with no issues until yesterday, now i cannot get the steam version to load my progress whatsoever, and it keeps loading a much earlier save even after clearing data, unlinking on both sides, etc.

Same Herr. I started on steam a few days ago and the account linking was working fine until this morning. I played and closed it on my android a couple of times and now I'm getting a google authentication error when I try to open it on my android that says 'Exception thrown on Google authentication. Exceeded max retry attempts.'
