Looks fun but can't get it to run

I really don't want to refund this game because it looks great, but i can't get the game to even run. I just get a black screen for a few seconds then nothing.
Is there a fix for this?

Heard this from a few people now, looking into it. Would you mind sharing your specs in the meantime?

For me, when in the black screen, quickly press Alt + enter fix it for me.

Hey, sorry for the late response.

That didn't seem to affect anything for me. Does it say or do anything when hitting alt+enter? what made you try that?

Alt+Enter on Windows switches an application window between windowed and fullscreen mode. Works with games as well and if you're getting a black screen, it's usually suspected that you might be having resolution-related issues, so trying to switch between windowed/fullscreen is a good first thing to try.

Gotcha! Thats good to know, thank you for the info! unfortunately i still wasn't able to get the game to work :/

I'm having this problem too. I see the egg loading icon in the bottom right, then it fades away and leaves a black screen with a very thin white border on all sides. I can still very faintly see it actually, it's not totally gone. I can hear what I assume is the menu music, and hitting escape seems to do something (open a menu?) but I can't see anything.
My specs:
Windows 11 build 22631
AMD Ryzen 5 5600x
EVGA GTX 3080
32gb ram
I have three monitors and am running the game on my central 1440p one. my others are 1440p and 4k.

Disabling Nvidia in-game overlay didn't help.

I unfortunately only get the black screen with a thin white line. no egg loading or faint screen there, it just crashes immediately.

Does anyone have any other advice?
Pretty bummed that i can't get this to work even after the last two updates. Will probably have to get a refund soon so i'm not stuck with a broken game.

I am having the same issues. I'm going to have to refund soon unfortunately if it doesn't run. But I really don't want to because I was really looking forward to trying the game.

Edit: I found a way to get the game to work without issue. Only problem I've encountered now is the quit button not working.
