playing chaotic neutral CONTAINS POSSIBLE SPOILERS
Hey everyone..

I'm playing a Conan the barbarian build I found on the internet who starts as a chaotic neutral character. I'm having some difficulty playing the chaotic part and some with the neutral part as well.

Normally I tend to play lawful good paladins and i once tested myself online and came out Neutral Good in terms of my RL personality. What I wonder though is wether anybody else has found it difficult to play a chaotic character? You seem to miss out on so many quests and piss off a lot of people in your group that it makes me wonder if it's even worth playing as a chaotic in the vanilla campaign.

This is my third time through the game and when I play lawful good, I know I will have the good guys on my side but right now, a few levels into my build and on my way to Highcliff. I seem to have pissed off Elanee already, I'm sure to piss off Sand later, so who would be left?

Qara loves it when you're chaotic, as does Neeshka.

So just Qara?

And do you have any tips on how to behave in conversations? and do I skip certain quests because they are lawful by nature?

When I play lawful I still help Neeshka commit a burglary and it doesn't hurt me that much and in the end I end up with Khelgar and Elanee for helping them with their quests. Then again I played a barbarian on one of my playthroughs and became ex-barbarian very easily. So how do I avoid that?

Any tips on playing chaotic and neutral without becoming evil or true neutral?

The problem in these games is neutral just requires an equal number of good and evil acts, rather than finding a middle ground, most of the time. A bit of a flaw, imho.

If you want to be chaotic, lie, a lot. That racks up the chaotic points, enough to balance out the occasional 'lawful' act.
