Why cant I install any mod campaigns?
Ive tried several different ones, most of them immensely popular with no complaints in their comments, but I cant get a single one to show up in the campaign or module menus.

Is something different about the steam version that makes these not work or what?

Are you sure you are installing them / putting them in the correct place? Where are you installing them?

You need to extract the compressed folders into documents->neverwinter nights folder. Sometimes when you ask to extract to a location, a new folder called (your desired mod) is placed in the doc>nwn2 folder. If that happens, select all the files in the new folder (control-A) and cut them out (control-X), back up to the document>NWN2 folder and paste them in there (control-V). I do not have problems with mods.

the ones I download always give very specific instructions on where to put files, usually in the form of put *this file* in the campaigns folder, *this file* in the hak folder... etc. Are you telling me just to put all the files in the main directory?

I dont have problems with mods, just with custom campaigns, most mods go in the hak or override folder, NOT the main folder.

"Are you telling me just to put all the files in the main directory?"

Nope, I say overwrite the files and folders into the documents>nwn2 folder. It sounds like you have a good understanding of placing the files where they need to be, but what else is missing, now I am not sure. Sometimes custom content is not compatible with other custom modules, and sometimes you need to add additional custom content.

Now I am also curious which campaigns are not working for you; can you let us know which modules/campaign is not working for you?

I also have a steam version of NWN2 but have no problems with installing content, so its not because its a steam version.

Maybe you're trying to install NWN 1 modules by accident?

be sure you're putting the files into NWN2 through the steam directory and not just putting files directly from your documents.
(ya kinda late on that)
