Neverwinter Nights 2: Platinum

My weird build: Halfling pal/war/rog
Halfling with luck of heroes for total +2 saves and AC

So I started with 2 levels in paladin for charisma to saves, armor prof, and BaB. Then went 2 levels of warlock for hideous blow (using warlock buddy so this is always on) and devils own luck. Then 2 levels of rogue for sneak attack (flanking), evasion, and social skills. Will be doing mostly warlock with the occasional rogue from now on.

Im finding the game stupidly easy with this build. Its got massive saves, good armor class, and stupidly high melee damage.

Well, as long as you're ok with the exp penalty.

Had forgotten about that, but I dont think it will be an issue. Im level eight and absolutely rinsing through everything. I average over 20 damage a hit, 23 AC, and +18 to all saves. Fight me, I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dare you :D

Difficult to assess with such little information on your build, but it seems like a pretty silly build to me. Your AB will suffer if you are sticking to Warlock and Rogue as you stated. You also require a reliable way of landing Sneak Attacks if you are going down that route - via HIPS or Feint, which I did not see mentioned. The build you have seems directionless and is by no means this ultimate build you make it out to be.

Are you blasting or sticking to Melee? If you want melee damage, you are better off with going down the Epic Divine Might[nwn2db.com] route and if you want raw damage output you want to go down the Improved Enhanced Power Attack[nwn2db.com] route. If you want to create a blaster Warlock type then you want to focus on that instead.

With your current setup, the best you could probably hope to achieve is something like this[nwn2db.com].

You lose your paladin abilities once your alignment shifts to gain warlock levels. So you will lose divine grace and lay on hands abilities.

I mean why not just use fighter if you're just doing it for bab and proficiencies. And you get the bonus fighter feats.

he said hes going mostly warlock, so your suggestions are totally worthless they aren't even close to the build he's talking about. It's like hes saying he wants to make a wizard and you go "hey you should make up a fighter rogue, has better melee damage" lol.

Don't know why you are worried about melee in that build, if your going mostly warlock your going caster, not melee. Those pittling levels of paladin and rogue aren't going to do anything to your melee skill. Stick with casting and just using the paladin/rogue abilities for your skills and charisma buffs. It would be like saying i want to make a sorcerer with some alt class's to boost saves, etc and then going "hes going to be a melee character".. huh?

He said Rogue and Warlock - and already has some Paladin levels so it was a guess since he never actually gave much in the way of detail as to what the build is aiming to achieve. Since Rogue and Paladin are melee classes and Hideous Blow is also for melee, it wasn't exactly a stretch to guess that melee could be the intent.

Yeah its a "cant touch this"melee build combined with some surpirising damage output. The massive saves were the main point of it, Im basically immune to spells and traps. The high melee damage is a nice side effect.

yea i do similiar with sorcerers. paladin levels for save boosts, evasion class's to make enemy spells laughable, saves laughable, etc. something like paladin monk sorcerers, or paladin, rogue sorcerers. Of course it reduces your max spells a few levels, but those extra benefits really are great.
