Crafting armor of spell resistance (greater) - caster level not high enough
I'm trying to give my armor 22 spell resistance by having a level 18 Warlock use a scroll of spell resistance. Everywhere I check it says it needs caster level 15, but the game tells me that "Your caster level is not high enough to craft this item."

What am I missing?

Over eleven years of NWN2, and I've never properly messed with the crafting system. My only warlock was so long ago I only remember him being a half-orc.

Is you character de-buffed (disease, etc.)?

An old bug cuts warlock caster level in half for spell penetration purposes. I don't know whether there's a similar problem with scrolls and crafting.

Sorry for the trouble. That sounds annoying. :(

It took me a long time before I got started with it as well. It's only because by now, I know the game so well that I feel like it won't be a detraction :steamhappy:

No he's perfectly content.

That sounds like a possible cause

Crafting from a scroll or wand uses the caster level of the item, not the character.

Imbue item works differently anyway apparently (I've never played a warlock myself to try it out). This is from the NWN2 wiki:

You can create magic items based on spells you cannot cast. You must take the appropriate Item Creation Feat and then make a Use magic device check vs. DC 15 + Spell level for Arcane spells or DC 25 + Spell level for Divine spells.
If the check succeeds, the warlock can create the item as if he had cast the required spell. If it fails, he cannot complete the item. He does not expend the XP or gold cost for making the item; his process is simply slowed. He cannot retry this use magic device check for this spell until he gains a new level.
This feat still requires that the Warlock take the Craft Magical Arms and Armor or Craft Wondrous Item feats in order to be able to craft items. He can do so as of patch 1.12.
