Hello yall!!! I just started playing this game and I absolutely love it so far. I've unlocked a few skill trees and it got me wondering, is there a way to reset the game's progress? As in to completely start fresh without the unlocked skill trees and such. Maybe there's no point in that being an option but I'm just wondering if it's a thing. Thanks in advance!!!

So far you can choose to start a new game without any of the car upgrades you got in your previous playthrough. I just completed a run with a muscle car that didn't have any upgrades and only started with a guitar and a case of beer.

Ahh I see I see. So I can start a fresh run without any car upgrades or anything of the like, but the skill trees that I have unlocked remains unlocked right?

Yes, the unlocked skill trees remain unlocked. Not having them unlocked from the start would make certain gameplay strategies downright unviable. However you still only have the two starter skills when you start fresh.

Yrs, you can full y reset progress by editing your save game which is just a text file. This is important IMO because once you hit five endings the game becomes unplayable as it forcibly turns up the difficulty in a way that is just not fun (e.g. getting a level of tiredness every few seconds, I got 3 tiredness just driving from start to the first stop). There's no way to disable this but you can clear your progress from the save file and that resets it.

To be fair, that kind of challenge escalation is somewhat necessary considering how some strategies and upgrade load-outs can become somewhat overpowered. The armored truck strategy for example trivializes a lot of the road events by simply allowing the player to tank the damage they get from escaping them.

That is fair, it's essential to not have the game go stale imo
