Drunk driving is impossible
I understand drunk driving is meant to be hard but when you get "more hazards" or w/e they call it 7 times in a row it's literally impossible to have enough skill/item uses to complete the stage, I've lost 5 runs to this now where I clear all but 1 from the board and it adds 6 more, it's literally impossible.

You have to use the glove box items and try to get perfects so you get extra turns. I've never loss a run or a even a turn due to being "drunk" it's not that hard.

I try to but it literally keeps picking the add more back to back to back, I burn threw all my items as I multiple uses per item use at this point in the runs. I literally had it add more hazards 7 times in a row, I burned threw every item and all my skills, their was no way for me to keep up with the amount of hazards being put back onto the "road".

Drunk driving is a bad idea, but you can get through it with either decent luck or a good build.

I've had a lot of luck maxing out the Hiker skill tree and keeping the Sleeper as a hitchhiker. Having tons of shield that takes out threats as they attack you typically outpaces the Drunk Driving issues.

Been messing around with shields more, and turning threats into debuffs and just carrying around more items.

Also, don't forget that there's the option to just step on the gas. If an event looks overwhelming, you can knock down a few threats then just gun it. You'll eat five or six damage, but then you're done.

This is the basic rule for the game. If you have x threats that are attacking, and you can't clear them, then gun the gas. You'll take the same damage anyway but the event will end. You won't get XP for the event, but if you're drink driving, thats the last of your concerns. Bring plenty of extra gas and a toolbox or two and you'll be fine.

Synergies can really help a lot once you unlock a good set of skills. But ultimately, pick your fights.

The game literally tells you every turn that you shouldn't be doing this. So best bet is don't do it. Or, if you have to because you wanna appease The Hurricane, you'll have to take some precautions. Chose the shortest road you can. Be well rested and make sure that what you drink hives you the Happy buff. You'll need some powerful skills and a good strategy. The harmonica is a good asset, but the True Hiker trait and an armor build can make it almost trivial.
My issue on all of this is that, unless it's the Hurricane or Bride's quests, there's just not enough reasons why you would 'want' to drive drunk. The Happy status does not outweigh the penalties, even if you have enough of a strategy to manage it.

I did a long run and got all the perks in all the skill trees, it's easy then. The upgrades and perks for unlocking the skill trees makes it easy.
