Gourmet Skill tree???

How do I unlock the gourmet skill tree? I've seen people say they got it from eating at dinners but I've stopped at like 4 now and eaten everything I could find and haven't gotten it.

I think I remember that eating cafe/pub's food unlocked it for me too.
Was it a sandwich, a pie or something else, no idea. (EDIT: for some reason, now I think it was after eating the last piece of a whole pie, but it may just be a coincidence that this was the trigger.)

Maybe you have to be hungry for it to work? Like binge eating while not hungry would not work. Just a random theory, honestly no idea.

I got it by using the portal cookery to make food

I played for MANY hours before I unlocked it and I don't know WHAT triggered the unlock.

I finally got it and it seemed like it's basically just eating a bunch of food like fries, chicken wings, and any of the fancier stuff you find in pubs.
