Any way to move items from the car to extra storage?

Haven't figured out how to move items from my car to the roof rack yet. Any particular way, or is it you can only put stuff in there when you buy them?

Nevermind, just discovered if you drag them onto your car on the right they float in midair and you can then move them.

When you are stopped you can just drag things out of the car and it makes a pile like when you receive exploration items. You can then switch storage and drag them into the new one.

Does not work when in a shop though.

Just move them out of the car, they will lie outside just like items from events would. You can switch to extra storage then and pick them up
