How to make money?

I've just got the game, and have gone a few stops away from the starting point when I realise I don't know how I'm supposed to make money to buy things or to pay for gas. Have I missed something in the tutorial?

Most of the money you'll make early on will be from one of three sources. 1) selling items. You'll find items from random road events and from exploring locations, most of them can be sold for good money. 2) Employment office or job office or whatever they are called, you can pick random jobs there. Toggle them "on" on map view if needed, as most towns don't have those. 3) When you enter a cafe/pub, you'll see a board with random jobs you can do. Delivering pizzas, finding a missing cat, etc.

There are a few other ways, but I'll let you discover them as you play. The 3 mentioned above should be enough to keep you afloat anyway.

Protip: get the rope♥♥♥♥♥♥♥crowbar/flashlight as soon as possible, they will help you a lot to get items on exploration and events and those items will sell for good money.
making money is quite easy, don't worry too much about it.

Get Inspired status->Go to Work->Trait:Inspired Worker get!
Make the Suit abord->Buy lotteries and use his Second skill Exploit-> Lots of cash get!
Buy knife、fashlight、crowbar or rope(optional)->Go to Explore->Save what you need and sell remanent items you found

Other maybe helpful:
Use the Hiker's first skill can directly decrease your expense
Use the Girl's third skill wisely can ignore basic expense for removing hegative statuses
