In that case, I apologize, however I am aware that Steam Input CAN be used, but I'll always go for native support over Steam Input, thus the reason why I'm asking for it and not complaining about it not being there.
It's all good. It should be a common feature, same as letting people change controls to what they want.

I think too.
If I'd known I wouldn't be able to change the keys, I'd never have bought this game!
Steam should add this info, as they do for controller support, we should be advised when a game doesn't allow to change keys.

...all fine but:
I dont buy this game without controller support - its not my job to program my own controller setup.

I know I should know better than to get involved, but I’m going to anyway. I definitely think this is a game that should natively have full controller support included in it. I can understand if the developers have more pressing priorities, like adding more content and mechanics to the game, but I don’t think that it should mean that full controller support should be off the table entirely. What I don’t understand is why are there people that get annoyed when others ask for full controller support for games? I know that we can use the Steam Overlay to add some form of controller support for the game, but this is really time consuming and doesn’t always work out the best, especially because for some games, it can become really complicated to implement it effectively. Take for example, Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines. I found a community made controller scheme for that game, and ended up workshopping it a little bit to make it so I could use the controller for conversations and navigating menus, which didn’t always work well either, since I had to have it so I could switch modes between conversation mode and gameplay mode, which was troublesome because sometimes after exiting a conversation, combat would immediately start and if I didn’t switch modes fast enough, the enemy would land free hits on me. It’s not as easy to implement controller support through the steam overlay as it sounds.

Yeah controller players are tired of using outside programs to finish peoples games! Native is the only way to go! I mean whats funny is you are here complaining that someone is complaining. I mean what part of its their job to set up a controller on their own and not ours or steams? Steam input sucks anyways! Im not gonna use an outside program when they should be adding it automatically.
Steam input doesn't suck. Maybe learn how to set up a controller properly for the game you want to use it with. It's not hard.
Steam input does suck. I had to use it for New World before they added controller support, and it was a pain in the ass to do anything. We shouldn't have to go through all that BS just to use controller, when devs can just add native controller support instead.

No, it just sucks, unless there are very few keys you need to bind to the controller.
