nGlide is a 3Dfx Voodoo Glide wrapper. It allows you to play games designed
for 3Dfx Glide API without the need for having 3Dfx Voodoo graphics card.
All three API versions are supported, Glide 2.1 (glide.dll), Glide 2.4 (glide2x.dll) and Glide 3.0 (glide3x.dll). nGlide translates all Glide calls to Direct3D.
Glide wrapper also supports high resolution modes.



In the nGlide configurator you can set 7000+ res

Never mind. You have to install and then do a "Detect Available Cards" from the game launcher.

I've gotten the game to run fine after detecting my display adapter, just in a low res.

So I've installed nGlide, used the configurator to select my monitor resolution (1920x1200), started up the game and gone to setup, detected card, gives me 3DFX glide, hit play. No launch, error pop-up says:

Error: Glide SstrWinOpen failed!

File: D:\projects\Summoner\pccode\vsdk\gr\glide\gr_glide.cpp - Line: 843

Anyone encounter this?

I have an NVidia card with AMD cpu and I do not get that error (Win7 x64).

i have changed the res to 1920x1080 in the nglid settings but it wont let me choose it for the game ?

Never mind the game aslong in the utility it's 1920 and in the game detection 3dfx is selected untick all the D3D stuff force 3dfx you will get 1920.

You're not going to get proper widescreen if that's what you're looking for, but the game will be at 1920x1080.

better then nothing...if i can play in my native resolution i can live with not true widescreen...i hope this doesn't affect UI and text..any info about it using 1680 x 1050?

Select it and find out tell people here sure there are others who would like a decent enough resolution

well i had nglide wrapper installed yet...but when i try to set up the luncher it doesn't let me choose any res beides 800 x 600 and 640x480...i setted nconfigurator as set resolution as my monitor desktop res..soi must see 1680 x 1050 in game luncher set up or not?sry bad english

nGlide Scales you to your selected resolution the game outputs at 800x600

hum so i read 800 x 600 but in reality is 1680 x 1050?? i thought the UI will be smaller then--i think this doesn't worked..sry bad english

I got it and it works better than I thought... the game's fun! Despite a small resolution, it's still a great game! lol

ok so the download did not give me an option to install to a certain path. now i dont know how to get to the configurator. can somebody help with that? i would be most greatfull

just look in your start / shortcut tab, search nglide folder, it's right here.
