maybe its just nostalgia but i love summoner :D
Keep in mind the parent company the line came from and the history involved.. I imagine they're only vested in safe bets, learning from their predecessors. I can understand the caution there and I respect that.
To me a crowdfund, kickstarter, or even an announcement would be the best option to at least entertain the idea and gauge the interest.
I hope to hear from them soon. They just recently acquired Timesplitters (2000 - 2005) to their collection so I know theres activity in the gearbox.
I am dead set however that Summoner 3 would be their top contender and with 10 different studios its possible to achieve.
If they produced a game along the lines that you describe, it wouldn't be anything that fans of Summoner would enjoy or appreciate, so what's the point? You'd get a game called "Summoner 3", but you wouldn't get a Summoner game.
I can't predict the future, but I can make an assumption based upon the available evidence.
I don't suppose you could share your proposal for Summoner 3? I'm curious to see the concept you have come up with. I'll understand if you would want to keep it under wraps just in case but maybe you could just away a few details, such as the setting.
