Graphics card not detected
The game setup is not detecting my graphics cards and I cannot even launch the game. Tried downloading some kind of resolution patch, but nothing changed. Any solutions?

recognises my 1050ti with no problems. Usually it's the more modern cards that have problems with retro titles.

I read on here a couple years ago, that it had to do with summoner running on integrated graphic card and wouldn't detect the physical GPU added onto the motherboard. Fix back then was:

1. to force the PC to run in high performance all the time through power management to prevent switching from external GPU to integrated GPU to save power and

2. through the settings of the GPU software (nvidia) to select the external GPU as the designated GPU to run summoner .exe

Might be true that it's GPU related, as I only managed to resolve this problem after upgrading to RTX 3060ti!

Is there any support available for this issue?
I just bought this game on steam, hoping to relive some old playing experiences, but also discovered that the SETUP doesn't recognize my graphics card at all. I have an nVidia GeForce GT 640. The launcher readme says:
* Video - You must have a 3D Accelerator card to play Summoner. You
can choose to have Summoner detect Glide only, D3D only, or both by
selecting the proper checkboxes, then clicking on the
"Detect Available Cards" button.
- Note: If you have a Voodoo card then you must use Glide. Summoner
will not work with D3D and a Voodoo card.
- Resolution - Summoner supports the following resolutions:
640x480, 800x600, and 1024x768.
Not exactly sure what that all means nor if my graphics card has a 3D accelerator, but I suppose it must? I tried to play with the Gilde/D3D boxes to no effect. Then I tried to set my PC display resolution down to 1024x768. Then I tried to download this resolution fix, but haven't moved the files to the install folder...yet.
Can anybody offer a bit of advice what to try next? If I cannot resolve this I will ask for a refund as the game is unplayable.

The summoner setup will read this as a graphics card so you should be able to run summoner through steam.

Oh and before I forget. After you download and install this, type into the windows search bar "Nglide Configuration" so you can set screen resolution, aspect ratio, ect....

You can also set compatibility with XP and that should be enough to detect any graphics card.
