Talk to them and you can together create one of the best entertainment, action RTS game.
Thus, it is just milking two years before the end of legal protection (20 years for software).
A problem I'm having lately is the pathfinding is a bit weird. Units and vehicles will constantly get stuck on buildings when they're moving. A new unit comes out of the factory, you order it to move foward, and it tries walking back into the factory before turning and going around it. Trying to take down all the guns on the enemy fort proves difficult sometimes because tanks keep trying to drive up close to the fort and they keep stopping.
1. working multiplayer (min. 4 players, ladders etc.)
2. STEAM workshop - for new maps etc.
Otherwise it's just milking.
For people who know this game from the past, it is not fun, only memories, nostalgia.
Without these two things, in 2014 this Z is only savory, demo, a game one evening.
In 1996 computers were limited to many, including the unavailability of the Internet, the performance. Z from 1996 in 2014 in such a condition as you sell it, is aa demo, max. Games for $ 0.99 for smartphones.
No multiplayer, no STEAM workshop = just milking two years before the game becomes a freeware.
This game deserves more attention, work as what you have to offer her.
Personally, I expected more, that you do what wasnt technically possible in 1996.
But you've made a few patches, control for touch screens + remove multiplayer. WTF?!
Year 2014!
Online, online, online. As distribution. Now everything is online except this game.
@♥♥♥♥♥.sk we would love to bring multiplayer to the PC version but first have have to consider the logistics of it, it's not just as easy as enabling the multiplayer game, we have to implement matchmaking and lobby systems too. A level editor and Steam Workshop would be great too but are by no means essential right now. Your comments regarding the game becoming 'freeware' are completely wrong too, don't know where you've got that from. We are developing the game (and a full HD remake of Z Steel Soldiers) in conjunction with the Bitmap Brothers who own the rights to Z and of course created the original game(s).
