"People" do not like historical accuracy things? Just look at Manor Lords, Historical accuracy close to 100% - Kingdom Come Deliverance I and II and most importantly Sengoku Dynasty, the Clothing, the Buildings etc. all close and respectful to their historical counterparts. So i call BS on that statement. The Hollywood Fans wouldnt even know or care if stuff is historically accurate or not, so there is no reason to not to try and make it historically accurate - they can only win.
Well I get games must be inaccurate to some degree for gameplay reasons. (Like whacking a tree a couple times to make logs, etc.). I would however like to see things like the buildings, weapons, tools, clothing, etc., to be as historically accurate as possible. That's kind of the whole point of the Viking Theme, to live in a Viking world. There is much we can draw from through artifacts and such to at least get the authentic 'feel' of being a real Viking, which I assume is the main feature the devs are going for here.
It's when people start to demand the addition of weapons, armor, etc., that we know Vikings never used, that I hope the devs can draw a line and just let people know if they want those things there are other games they can play. Ruining the game for those that want a more authentic experience for those that just want another game to play and leave shouldn't be the goal. Just my opinion anyway.
Yes, that is so bad i got tears in my eyes as i read "Vikings". That is so fantasy and not "vikings". So please call it just "Nordic fantasy Dynasty" and i would be ok with it.
I'm just gonna call it what it is...a video game.
True, they just have to decide if they want to make a good video game that actually represents the Culture, and people they are advertising for with this game or if they are just going for the quick Cash grab with assets that look like they were bought from the UE5 Marketplace without doing any historical research whatsoever.
even MD villagers wonder that question but what about VD folk?
will they too adopt a more modern social structure or will they bypass that nonsense?
I thought that MD worked in some kind of apprenticeship that teens work in prior to being a full blown adult worker. Perhaps just some tweaking to that system is all that's needed. I can agree that a teen is not going to be capable of a full work load like a grown adult, but work they will. They certainly won't be sitting around on their phones fritting about social media drama. :p
