The King is Watching

I Won – Here’s the Strategy I Used
I’ve been playing this game a few times now, and I love it! The strategy I used was basically going all-in with level 1 troops: 4 Soldiers, 3 Beast Hunters, and 2 Ballistas. The game-changer was the Stun Artifact (triggers every 20 attacks) – it was SUPER useful against the final boss. I kept him perma-stunned, especially when combined with the Beast Hunters’ ability. Whenever the dragon was about to burn the map, they blocked him, which (if I remember right) saved me from losing a ton of units. My main focus was producing Food, Wood, and Iron to make Ingots, which I sold for 3 Gold each. I also prioritized spell generation like crazy!

I got the dragon down to 1hp today. A few runs later I finally killed him.

Beast Hunters are one of the best troops in the game.

My build was Swordsmen+Knights+Ballistae+ Beast Hunters.

Generally speaking I only buy artifacts from the store (rarely a building I am missing). Rush the research of buildings/spells as often as you can. Make sure you have a large wheat field+sawmill early on (or restart).

The spells you want to save for the dragon are : freeze/sheep/wrath/invulnerability.

Note : you cannot sleep the dragon when it is flying overhead but you can make your troops immune to the flame attack.

Mid game you want to farm wood and be a bit greedy before you need too many unit producing buildings. Try to get to 16-18 troops early. Trash peasants+hunters+Ballistae will wipe out really strong but slow moving enemies.

Take the upgrades/artifacts and fight the strongest enemy group you know you can beat. It's fine to let the enemy beat on your walls a little bit early on (resummon the army when the bad guys are knocking on the wall).

You can "overproduce" a unit and store them in the barracks. For example you could make a bunch of extra peasants then destroy the peasant buildings. Army wiped? Wait for the enemy to attack the walls then let out the 12 peasants.

Try to get the upgrade that gives you wine while you have a wheat field. Combine that with an arena to have very high morale (this massively buffs your army having one or both).

I had a concert+hospital+upgraded arena on my winning run. I did not have wine from fields.

Dont bother with furniture/wine/archers/healers/dragons. Flour stuff just isnt as good as Ballistae+knights+swordsmen. The hosptial heals your army just fine.

I beat the dragon and made it to week 639 which is my best so far. I used the crystal castles and camps for frontline, catapults and fire mages for backline. Also had a mage college to whip out spells. I am going to try and get two of them up and running the next time. The spells are incredible.
