Try your docs folder where you downloaded the game and go the support folder for some of the manuals.

Also, try the GTOS Wiki.

Mainly though, this is a hands on learning game, the manuals, tutorials and wiki don't cover everything.

Log onto the Graviteam forum if you have an questions, I find that to be the best place to get quick answers to most questions.
(Q)Steel-(A)Fury is a question that needs to be answered to become a member there.

I'm pretty familiar with the game and spent quite a bit of time with it and can answer most questions there since I visit the Graviteam forums often(Not as much here though).

Thank you for the help. I will read up and try and improve :-)

One of the hardest things for me at the mo is finding my stuff. The map is so big and yet the units are so small :-)

If you right click on a units icon along the bottom in the UI the camera jumps you to the unit.
Also, left click the icon to select the unit then tap "Q" and the camera will jump to and lock to the unit so you can follow it easier.
If there is a unit say for example a scout you have sent out ahead and you need to be able to find him sharpish you can set him to a control group by holding down CTRL + 1 or 2 ect..

Take about 3 days of learning before it kicks in what does what. After 3 days you should start winning fights and not ending in epic disaster.

I watched some You Tube videos and just clicked alot of buttons to experiment. The game is starting to click now and I am really enjoying it

So much I don't understand.... things like, why are two of my squads flashing grey? No combat has taken place. Can I split up my AT batteries and give a gun to each inf platoon? How do I retreat? I'm going to like this game, just so many unknowns.

i feel your pain brother, i've clocked up 90 hours and there is still a lot i don't know although i have managed to win a campaign at last = )

this game is unlike anything else out there and the learning curve is very steep, having said that the sense of acheivement when you get things right makes all the early frustrations worth it.

I recommend you visit the graviteam forums http://graviteam.com/forum/index.php?PHPSESSID=n3js4d83s054675i4lj5akci67&

there are a lot of helpful knowledgable players and devs there and they can answer pretty much any question you may have.

I still don't know exactly what flashing grey means, i assumed it meant no commander or no ammo, panicked etc basically unable to fight.

There is an AT mod that allows for smaller AT teams.

Retreat, i never retreat so i can't help you lol, maybe why i lose so much. =)

Retreat, yes guilty lol.
IIRC its in the settings/escape menu but if you retreat from the battle all your troops in that battle retreat back to the start on the operation map, left/right edge depending on where they started at on the operation map and you lose any ground they gained.
Another kicker you cant use those troops again for a certain number of turns, they are unavailable.
So, dont retreat unless you know you are going have your troops all wiped out if you stay and fight, try and retreat a little in the tactical battle map, maybe give ground there first, give up a flag or two before you retreat proper :)

*Remember that this mod only works in tandem with the 2 part uniform mod. Which must be installed first.

Uniform Mod-Base and Configs.

configs:

The config files are the only files that will be updated in the future, the base files only need to be included initially.
