PS: playing as russian vs tiger = dont cry :)
PS2: 45mm is BB rifle to shoot versus tigers xD
PS3: i think tiger was better heavy tank WII,ie, Tiger II was best WW2 tank. Maybe IS2 was third. I think...
Of course i m not making reference to destroyers tank.
So the 45mm M42 with apcr ammo has enough power to get threw a tigers armor. Note... this is the long barrel 45mm at gun. Not the smaller one. That one is like throwing beebees at a tiger.
And even today a small dense projectile fired at hyper velocity at a modern heavy tank could kill it. After all, tanks now a days fire tungston and uranium darts at each other.
Folks for some reason equate width of the barrel with "power". While this is true if your firing HE or HEAT rounds, it is totally unneeded if firing small dense things. Which is why modern tank guns are large bore for the HE and HEAT, but fire a small bore saboted darts at hard targets. There is no reason that a modern 60 - 75mm hyper velocity anti armor weapon can not work to kill tanks. They get made now and then as experiments. But their HE shell either SUCKS or the velocity is way to high for effective use of them. Making them a vary limited use weapon.
But its velocity that kills armor when talking about solid projectiles.

Is this with T70's with year set around 1943? Some had 45mm APCR ammo I am guessing.
NM.... matilda 2's? Probably broke so much stuff on the tiger that the crew bailed. The 2 pounder gun was really out classed, but it was a deticated anti tank weapon. Even if totally out classed by late 41/42.
Yes, my mistake, 7 MKII medium tanks (2 pounder). Still Illustrates how Tigers aren't invincible.
You are right, in fact what is really making this game so realisitc and good is the fact that tanks are treated like they really were not like in other game were ok let's make the tiger super powerfull as he is the boss. It happened that once i've anbushed a tiger with some at infantry (obviosly I tought I will lose) but one hit the sight of the driver and the crew bail out! I thought yes it could happen in war, the driver doesn't have a sight anymore so it's a sitting target but offcourse that was a lucky shoot.
