Button prompts that don't match key
I'm having an issue where the button prompts don't match the key that is needed perform an action. I'm playing on Linux with a DS4 and I have added the line to the config file to get images for the DS4 buttons instead of the Xbox versions.

I've reset all of the key bindings and everything is stock. I'm also at the start of the game as I have not played CQ2 before (just CQ1). In the beginning, with the portals, there's the 'X' button prompt to enter a portal and start the game or edit options, but I need to press the square button to actually do so. When inside the game, if I press right trigger the menu comes up instead of the assigned switch costume action. If I try to rebind a key, the interpreted key is not correct, but the action is. So if I change open notebook to 'X', it will record 'O' as the button I pressed, but pressing 'X' on my controller will properly do that action.

Basically it seems like the game is reading the input from my controller incorrectly. X comes in as O. Right trigger comes in as start. Etc.

This was the same before I changed the button prompt images too. I'm familiar with the Xbox controller and was fine leaving those prompts there, but my X button wasn't interpreted as A and so on.

Since I'm playing on Linux, I'm just using the stock driver that comes with Linux to use my DS4 and I haven't experienced this problem with other games. Does anyone know what the problem is or what I can do to solve it? Thanks!

I managed to fix my problem. In the game's local files, there was a folder with a random string of numbers that contained a couple of .sav files. I deleted that folder and everything works well now, so it must have just been a bad save or config triggering my problem.

Just installed this game, I'm having the same issue. I don't see a folder with random strings of numbers so I'm not sure how to fix this :'( seems this is the only forum reporting a similar issue :(
