I didn’t have much time to check but I wonder:
- if ubi connect application has a copy of save files on some of its folder
- if disabling cloud save would fix the issue
Edit: Nevermind, I just found a post from a PS5 user who also lost progress.
I couldn't find a way to open the UbiConnect Launcher to change the sync cloud settings so...
1. Go to Desktop Mode
2. From your home folder go this way to find UbiConnect settings.
.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/2751000/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Ubisoft Game Launcher/settings.yaml
3. Open this settings.yaml with some text editor like the preinstalled Kate
4. look for syncsavegames and change it from true to false
This means UbiConnect will not try to sync your saves with the cloud automatically anymore.
I believe you can still manually upload it in the load screen.
I believe it's worth to make a backup from time to time anyway, who knows when UbiConnect will reset the settings.
Quit out, won't be returning til this is addressed in a patch note.
i lost progress of a few hours on Deck. Are you kidding me? :(
Played the game offline. Than online and boom last save gone :(
Be warned fellow gamers.
Cheers
P.S: Plz fix this somehow or...the better solution get rid of the Ubicloud and use
the Steamcloud...
so what should i do then? Wait for a fix i guess...Playing it on PC until a fix or patch....
How is it possible that someting like that goes through testing...
Cheers
