Ubisoft Notification pop-ups continue even when disabled
Notification settings in Ubisoft Connect do not work as expected while playing this game (and probably other games, but I haven't tested any others recently).

Despite having the option "Progression - When you earn an achievement" clearly DISABLED in Notifications I still get an in-game pop-up every time I complete an in-game "Challenge". I DO NOT want this because it's ugly and jarring and breaks immersion. I also disable Steam pop-ups.

Even when I turn off ALL notifications from Ubisoft by setting both "Enable in-game push notifications" and "Enable PC push notifications" to OFF I still get these damn pop-ups from Ubisoft Connect! Please fix this!

Hey ND,

Thank you for kindly reaching out and sorry to hear that despite disabling notifications, you continue to receive them

For troubleshooting I would recommend to launch Ubisoft Connect, Steam and the game using admin rights [ubi.li] to ensure all permissions are granted for the change in settings to save.

Should you have any trouble, just let us know

It's not forgetting the setting. The setting remains off between sessions, it just doesn't DO anything. I get pop-ups even with all notifications disabled. Or more precisely it seems to block other notifications fine, but it does not prevent Ubisoft Challenge (achievement) notifications. This is inconsistent.

Hey ND.

Thanks for the explanation. I moved this thread to Player Support as this is the correct place for it. I hope you didn't have too much trouble finding it. Sorry if you did.

Can you check if by any chance you don't have two instances of Ubisoft Connect Installed and one of them has the notification options enabled?

Also, reinstall Ubisoft Connect, and manually delete all the files and folders related to it:
There are files in its default installation location - C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher - but also hidden folders in C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\Ubisoft Game Launcher.

This is where settings files are stored.

After deleting all of them, when you install Ubisoft Connect again, run the installer as administrator.

Check the notification settings and try the game.
Have the same issue. All notifications are disabled in the settings but they keep popping up in-game. This is why I hate all these launcher apps game developers impose on us. Unnecessary, useless, and downright annoying.

Hey euplay1220,

Sorry to hear that you still get interrupted by Ubisoft Connect notifications despite having them disabled.

You can disable the Ubisoft Connect overlay completely and no notifications will pop up after that. You can find it in:
Ubisoft Connect Settings > Interface > Enable in-game overlay for supported games

Hope it helps you.

I'm still getting the huge notification box in the middle of the screen despite having all notifications in Ubisoft Connect disabled and also having the in-game overlay disabled.

Who thought that having a huge box of text pop up whenever I complete an important step of the story game that I play in the middle of the screen was a good idea?

I don't know what's worse, having these garbage notifications ruin my immersion every time I do anything in the game or the fact that the settings that are supposed to turn them off do not work.

Hello Ðumah!

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing this issue. Have you tried disabling the overlay, as suggested above? If the problem persists, could you please provide a screenshot showing the issue? This will help us better understand and assist you further.
