newbie question about the challenges

Hi guys ! I'm only at few hours in (in very difficult), and it is quite challenging already. While in the refuge I tried the first challenge which seemed to be a nightmare and I was wondering if it's better to wait before doing them or is it irrelevent ?

As someone who beat the entire game + the DLC in Immortal, the challenges are absurdly difficult. I don't think the developers really thought out how these challenges would affect the harder difficulties. I just completed all the challenges, but I toggled it all the way down to Rookie. Even on Rookie, they are CHALLENGING.
