Why would anyone buy this?

Seems like a huge joke to me. First they didnt release it on Steam at release - then launched it a year later at full price and:

Price on Steam: 49,99 Complete Edition
Price on awful Ubistore: 24,99 Complete Edition

Honestly - if Ubisoft would be gone tomorrow i dont feel like i would miss anything - if anything if they sold their IPs that were once interresting to maybe someone else can bring them back to what they once were. And it would also probably not be hard to be more consumer-friendly in general.

And im not even talking about Franchises they pretty much ruined themselves like Splinter Cell.

Please just sell the IP to someone that cares - i would really like a new Splinter Cell game ...
But no - i dont want remakes or weird versions - just a normal classic Splinter Cell.

I just realized the last Splinter Cell game was released in 2013 - so instead of makin ga new good Splinter Cell game for 12 Years they made Copy-Paste Farcry 9781 and Copy-Paste Assasins Creed 3472

Because even if its a good game - which i dont doubt seeing the reviews and gameplay - i would feel ripped off buying something on my prefered games platform a year after official release at full price while they sell it for half the price in their own awful store?

Ah okay didnt see that - so i will just wait and buy it if i even still want it. But i dont really get why a game would be sold at full price more than a year after release anyways.

i want to buy it but Denuvo DRMaleware is still in the game so i refuse until i removed it

i already bought it on PSN & Switch and Completed it over 100% and platinumed it twice.

They ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up so badly by making this exclusive to their stupid store. Game has so few reviews for a title by ubisoft which, for better or for worse, is broadly known. Had it come out on Steam alongside their trash store and had no drm, I bet it would've sold far more. imo Ubisoft is one of the worst in the industry, yet they still have the cash and the talent to make huge budget games that minimally work. They just don't allow themselves to be better.

This is an excellent game, one of the best modern metriodvania. There's a lot of people that don't care about the stores, denuvo or things like this. They don't even know they exist.

I personnaly waited for the game to go on steam because there are way enough good game to be patient.

I still think that ubisoft made a bad move not putting the game on day one on steam. We are in a world of trends, the game should be available everywhere on day one when streamers talk about it.

This is in fact an excellent game... had zero issues with performance with this one. So if you are one of those lurking about, i would say give this one a go. I also think you need to be patient, i like MV and i was really hesitant with this game, took me until 50% the way though to really say.... yeah this is actually really good.

"Speaking with your wallet" doesn't work because companies like this often treat it as apathy rather than negative feedback. Voicing your concerns is important.
