"...Assassin’s Creed Shadows being delayed to Q1 2025 but to finally putting games back on Steam (a request that every Ubisoft team has been pushing for years)."
Considering even the developer at Ubisoft teams hates its own launcher, Epic Games Launcher and far prefers Steam, I think they'll agrees on that the fact Ubisoft launcher can suck harder than black hole.
It's clearly a predatory move and not enough people are talking about it.
God forbid you update your system or switch Proton versions during that time however....Denuvo gonna lock yo ass out for that.
Why would you update or switch proton versions without being online? You'd need to connect to the internet to update anyway.
Heh, yeh touché, I should've read that closer before posting, regarding updates.
Swapping Proton versions tho you can do offline (as long as you have the runtimes downloaded beforehand), and is quite a mundane and normal thing to do on Linux distributions when games don't run so great, can make all the difference.
Denuvo's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ me over more than once there....beyond frustrating.
I game on linux(besides the SD) so i get changing proton versions but PoP runs pretty flawless on linux without changing anything from base. It also definitely works offline, just gotta boot it at least once while online to connect to Ubi.
