Just to clarify, do you mean visiting each of the season 'areas' (I assume there are 4!), as shown in sense mode, and then visiting a fifth?
Ah right gotcha, thanks. Second question then, is there any benefit (other than variety) to visiting the other areas? I.e. do some areas have more larger animals other than rabbits, for example?
The hare population will also decrease over time, so going to a new area will provide you with more food.
You can reach the tundra at any time of year. There's a tree bridge in the starting den area, and there are 2 entrances to it at the lake (though one is unmarked).

By the way, to end the game go to your original den once more and go inside. The screen will fade and it will be night time. I'll leave the rest for your discovery! :)
