So, let's talk about content.
I really like the idea of this game, but something tells me there's likely not a whole lot to do once you've gotten a handle on the basics of running down a rabbit and escaping wolves. So my question to those buying it is, what's the replay value on something like this? Do you see yourself coming back to it and finding something new & genuine to warrant the price tag? Or will you get bored once you've mastered a couple of basic mechanics?

Once the game ends, you will be disappointed. Not because you didnt liked it, just because the way it ends. In my opinion, i would raise 1 to 3 generations more. But im sure it will get boring after some point.

I think they did make an effort to add replayability but it does need more content to replay. To answer your question: Yes it was absolutely worth it, as it only cost me $10.49 anyway. But for the sake of playing this game again and again, I really think some ideas are worth exploring.

Add two more species. One predator similar in size to the lynx that we could fight off, and one prey to fit between the ranks of rabbit and deer. Something difficult to find and catch would be nice, since rabbit are terribly easy and deer are slightly easy.

Another idea I emailed the devs about would be rare spawns. I think giving a random chance, or one per map alternate skin to the prey would make it a bit more fun. Add a custom achievement counter for finding and killing these. Some ideas I had were an alternate snowy or bicolored rabbit, a buck with big antlers, or an albino deer.

Hey thanks for the followups. Based on these comments , my gut instinct, and a few of the reviews that say the same thing, I decided to wait on this until it's a bit further down in price. I think it's a beautiful concept, and while I think that artistically games like this are good for video gaming as a whole, there are other survival games in the same price range that offer a lot of replayability albeit at the cost of less emotional depth.

PS: I like your ideas about rare animals even if they are just recolors of the same ones (Albino deer for instance) I just enjoy tiny easter eggs like that as do many players I'm sure.

I intend to contact the devs about 'updates' too because this game has such potential! I would love for them to bring it to even greater heights! :D

I like to play it for the environment and the music, it can be fun just to roam around for a bit. I kind of compare it to the way I might want to replay Journey, only with more of an Okami scope. It could use fine tuning and perhaps some more elements to keep you busy... but otherwise I think it's just to relax that I would play it again.
