Eagle glitch?

idk if this was a Glitch or not but here is the story

after killing a fox before winter hit. i fed my family and tried to keep track of bug(white cub). wolves had already attacks so i was good for a while. as i fed my children two rabbits, i heard the sharp scream of an eagle.(mind you. i'm in the winter biome) i look up and there it is. circling. i kept my cubs close and waited for the swoop. once it did i chased and killed it. but its body disappeared once landing.

now i've done my research of where they spawn and it never said the winter area so i was confused. my water deer hunting grounds was invaded by an eagle. so i just want to know, was it a glitch or is my info wrong?

so. i guess i never knew eagles spawn in the tundra. because it just happened again but the body stayed

Not a glitch, eagles are supposed to spawn in the tundra, and I’ve had it happen many times

no the snowy area which is actually called the tundra, eagles do attack there it happend many times to me and other people, the only glitch there is that the carcass fell through the floor?
